What is Bioapifit anti-hemorrhoid ointment used for?
Bioapifit anti-hemorrhoid ointment has the CE mark as a class IIa medical product intended to alleviate the symptoms of hemorrhoids, fissures, pruritus ani and other non-infectious anorectal conditions including: rectal bleeding, itching and irritation of the anus, swelling of the anus, pain, painful defecation.
How does Bioapifit ointment work against hemorrhoids?
The ointment creates a protective layer on the damaged mucosa, allowing it to heal faster and preventing further irritation. Furthermore, the ointment prevents wound infection by creating an acidic, viscous environment with low water activity that does not support the growth, adhesion, and reproduction of pathogens.
Bioapifit ointment against hemorrhoids It relieves pain and discomfort during defecation due to its lubricating effect. The astringent effect of the preparation stops bleeding, shrinks the wound surface and accelerates its healing.
Summary of clinical trial results: After ten days of perianal (three times daily) and rectal (once daily) treatment, there was no bleeding while pain was reduced by 96%, discomfort during defecation by 94,2%, severity of anal itching by 95,7% and overall subjective discomfort by 96,2% with a clinical cure rate of 85%.
None of the patients experienced any side effects (worsening of existing symptoms, appearance of new symptoms, irritation or allergic reactions) during the treatment and follow-up period.
How to use
Instructions for use: To relieve symptoms of external hemorrhoids, apply the ointment 3-4 times a day for ten days to a clean and dry perianal area and spread gently. For rectal use, attach the enclosed applicator to the tube as shown in the picture, insert the applicator into the rectum and squeeze the tube to evenly apply the ointment to the painful area. After use, remove the applicator immediately from the tube and close the tube with the cap. Clean the applicator thoroughly with water and detergent and close with the special cap.
Precautions and storage conditions: The device must not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding and in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product. The device must be stored in a dark place out of the reach of children at a temperature below 25 0 C.
